WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Homeland Security and Defense Business Council (HSDBC) today announced the election of three new members to its Board of Directors. Brandon LaBonte, President and Chief Executive Officer of ArdentMC; Martin Mackes, Chief Delivery Officer at E3 Federal Solutions; and Trey Theimer, Vice President and Account General Manager, Homeland Security at Perspecta, will serve three-year terms.
“We are excited and honored to welcome Brandon, Marty, and Trey to the Council’s Board of Directors,” said Marc Pearl, president and CEO of HSDBC. “These innovative and vibrant leaders have exemplified a passionate and steadfast dedication to the homeland security mission throughout their careers. Working together with our current Directors, their expertise will strengthen the vital work of the Council in building better engagement models between industry and government to achieve mission success.”
LaBonte, Mackes, and Theimer will help guide the overarching vision and direction of the Council and its programs and initiatives. They join a group of Directors who represent the Council’s diverse membership of the small, mid-tier, and large companies that provide the technology, product, and service solutions to the Homeland Security Enterprise.
“I am honored to be joining the Board of HSDBC, an organization whose mission is to bring the private sector together to advance innovative solutions for the Homeland Security Enterprise and help strengthen the bond between government and industry,” said LaBonte.
“Ever since the tragic events of 9/11, it’s been a passion of mine to support the mission of the Department of Homeland Security in any way possible,” said Mackes. “I’m humbled and honored to be selected to serve on the board of HSDBC and look forward to continuing to advance the mission of the Council in support of the Homeland Security Enterprise.”

About Brandon LaBonte
Brandon LaBonte is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Ardent Management Consulting, Inc. Mr. LaBonte has managed the growth of ArdentMC from a start-up in 2006 to a one hundred and sixty-plus-employee cloud computing and geospatial technology services firm serving DC metro and clients across the nation with over $25M in 2018 revenue. Since founding ArdentMC, Mr. LaBonte has successfully managed ArdentMC’s growth, completing over $120M in prime Federal Government contracts with agencies including, the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Interior, the Department of the Treasury, and the Department of Defense. Under Brandon’s leadership, ArdentMC has grown into an innovative IT firm which is an SBA certified HUBZone corporation with a technology center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Brandon has testified before the US House of Representatives Homeland Security Committee with respect to contractor fitness processes and is an active member of the Homeland Security & Defense Business Council. Brandon developed a strategic path to bring government geospatial and technology expertise to commercial oil and gas sector and local first- responder groups.
About Martin Mackes
Martin (“Marty”) Mackes is the Chief Delivery Officer (CDO) of E3 Federal Solutions, a veteran-owned mid-tier large business with annual revenues exceeding $115M. He brings over 25 years of federal contracting experience, half of which have been focused within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). As the CDO, Marty oversees contract delivery for each of E3’s 5 divisions – Defense, Civilian, Intelligence, Border Security & Law Enforcement, and Homeland Operations. Marty is responsible providing customers with delivery excellence and managing all aspects of E3’s delivery organization, including service delivery, client satisfaction, program and project management resourcing, and program and project management standardization. Additionally, Marty is involved with the overall strategy and growth of the company.
Prior to joining E3, Marty was the Chief Operations Officer for Dependable Global Solutions, VP for Homeland markets at Unisys, and Senior Associate with Booz Allen where he supported several federal clients, including DHS, U.S. Army, Social Security Administration, Department of Energy, Internal Revenue Service, National Institutes of Technology, and other civilian and defense customers. He has been recognized throughout his career as a leader in strategy, business growth, management, and delivery to mission-critical programs. Marty has been involved with the Council for many years, co-chaired a Cyber Thought Leadership Committee, and supported numerous discussions with Hill staffers.
Marty holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Old Dominion University.

Trey Theimer serves as the vice president of Perspecta’s civilian, state and local business development and capture organization. Having held several senior roles within the federal IT sector over the past 20 years, she has had the privilege of working for some of the leading technology and consulting firms serving the homeland security and defense markets, including Accenture, Deloitte and CSC.
