Former DHS Deputy Under Secretary for Management, Chris Cummiskey named Senior Advisor for Homeland Security and Defense Business Council

WASHINGTON – Former DHS official Chris Cummiskey has been named as a Senior Advisor to the Homeland Security & Defense Business Council.  The Council’s Senior Advisors consist of a select group of experts, most of whom are former high-level public officials who possess unique expertise in the Homeland Security Enterprise.

Cummiskey served for almost six years at DHS as Deputy Under Secretary for Management and Acting Under Secretary for Management for over a year.  He currently runs his own consulting firm, Cummiskey Strategic Solutions, LLC, specializing in cybersecurity, information technology, and management.  Before moving to Washington to serve at DHS, Chris was the Chief Information Officer for the State of Arizona. He also spent eight terms in the Arizona State Legislature, two as a State Representative and four as a State Senator, where he was recognized as a leader in emerging technologies, economic development, and education reform.
