The Homeland Security & Defense Business Council is a not-for-profit, non-partisan organization founded in 2004 by senior executives of the companies that helped government stand up the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. The Council’s initiatives and programs actively involve the senior executives from our original member companies and many other small, mid-tier, and large companies who share primary responsibility for their homeland security enterprise-related portfolio. The Council supports the homeland security mission by promoting the collective role and responsibility of the private sector, and encouraging an open and substantive dialogue with our counterparts in the public sector. To achieve this goal the Council facilitates numerous engagement opportunities for industry and government to build a stronger set of relationships to address our nation’s critical homeland security/homeland defense needs.
